The Economist

As well as the newspaper, The Economist make predictions into technology trends. They took on a small team of consultants to completely revamp the way they make, package, and sell these predictions.

The project brief: Migrate The Economist’s legacy systems and existing processes to a modern cloud-native infrastructure.

The implementation: Using Amazon’s serverless data lake framework (SDLF), we built a data lake and associated pipelines from the ground-up in 10 weeks.

The outcome: An AWS enterprise-grade data lake, with SageMaker and CodePipeline for data analysis and packaging, and APIs on top of SFTP for client-side pulling of that data.
